At CarbonCrop, we’re dedicated to restoring forests and simplifying carbon to enable landholders, businesses, and organisations to unlock the full potential of nature-based carbon solutions. Since founding the company in 2020, our mission to help landholders pull a billion tonnes of CO2 out of the atmosphere and lock it up into trees, has led us to create a forest restoration platform that scales climate resilience, biodiversity restoration, and carbon removals.

We’ve developed proprietary AI and machine learning models, to use alongside remote sensing, and automation technologies to assess and monitor forests, measure carbon sequestration, and support access to carbon incentives. Our platform has already assessed millions of hectares of land, registered hundreds of farms in the New Zealand Emissions Trading Scheme, and delivered over NZ$35 million in carbon financing for native forests.

CarbonCrop isn’t just for landholders—we partner with Primary Sector businesses and processors, catchment collectives, and forestry project developers, to help them manage and measure carbon removals on their land and within their supply chains. From mapping forests for carbon sequestration and ongoing forest monitoring, to exploring how to support biodiversity monitoring, our platform empowers users to make informed decisions, meet sustainability goals, and scale their impact.
